On Sunday, Sept 11, we discussed approaches to the Bible as a first step in focusing on what we hope to get from our study of Romans. We understand that there are various ideas about the Bible and how it was formed, by whom, and when. But Episcopalians also can refer to the catechism in the Book of Common Prayer, which states,
Q. Why do we call the Holy Scriptures the Word of God?
A. We call them the Word of God because God inspired their human authors and because God still speaks to us through the Bible.On Sept 25, we'll discuss Romans 1-4.
